Lodges
There are over 2,300, all in the U.S. and its Territories. Ninety percent of Elks Lodges own their own homes, most of them offering club facilities.

Who are Elks?
There are more than 1,500,000 Elks and 49.7% are professionals, executives and proprietors. A Market Profile showed that 89% are married, and 89% are homeowners, 46.2% have a college education, and 97% own an automobile. The median annual family income is well above the national average.

Elk Benevolence
The Order of Elks annually spends over $40,000,000, plus non-cash contributions of over $40,000,000, for charitable, welfare and patriotic programs. Total outlays for these activities since 1880 exceed $800,000,000.

Patriotic Activities<
Shows and other entertainments sponsored by Elks National Service Commission are staged regularly for disabled veterans in every V.A. hospital in the country the year round, through the cooperation of local lodges and State Elks Associations.
Elks pioneered the observance of June 14 as Flag Day in 1907. Today, millions of Americans participate with Elks lodges each year in community programs honoring the anniversary of Old Glory's birth on June 14, 1877.

Retirement
The Elks National Home at Bedford, Va., is a beautiful retirement residence for 300 elderly Elks.
